We recommend that you start by reflecting with your team on the needs and goals of your district/school. Consider your technology support and curriculum/professional development needs as you plan. Get everyone on your planning team familiar with Gooru. Contact us as support@gooru.org and we’ll be happy to work with you to set up a pilot/rollout plan based on your needs.
Nope! Gooru can be used in a broad range of classroom contexts, including in-person and virtual learning. Teachers have been able to incorporate Gooru into their classrooms by using one computer and rotating students through collections. Additionally, classrooms with sets of 3-5 computers have implemented station models of having students rotate to computers. Finally, classrooms with 1:1 capabilities with laptops or tablets have been able to incorporate Gooru into a blended model of learning.
We recommend a high-speed internet network (minimum 2 mbps), and for maximum functionality one of the following browsers: Google Chrome 38+ (Recommended), Mozilla Firefox 33+, Apple Safari 5+ or Internet Explorer 11+.

Gooru Navigator supports multiple SSO methods. Currently, we support oAuth2, Google Signin, SAML, WSFed and Classlink to ensure there is seamless login between client systems and Navigator
The Web application can be white labeled with the client’s logo. However, the mobile apps will be accessible only as Gooru Navigator applications in the Play store and App store.

Gooru Navigator’s study player does not support rendering 3D assets or VR natively. However, Gooru Navigator maintains a registry of different learning tools and content, the 3D assets and VR activities can be ingested as external content that needs to be rendered with registered external tools. We also support data interchange with external tools and services using industry standard protocols such as LTI, Caliper, xAPI etc. and can track the learner’s performance, proficiency, time spent and other metrics irrespective of where and how the learner accesses them.
Gooru Navigator supports 9 different question types
The questions can include math expressions and equations in the question and answer text. Images can be included in questions and also in the answer options depending on the question type.
Gooru Navigator also supports automatic evaluation of machine gradable questions and provides the ability for content authors to define rubrics based on the evaluation criteria for free response questions and offline tasks such as projects, that cannot be system graded.
