Gooru uses open educational resources (OER), which can be taken down by their owners without our knowledge. This is likely what happened to the resource you were using. You should still be able to view all of the other content for the topic you were studying or teaching by searching for the topic in the Gooru catalog.
When a student changes classes, moves, or otherwise needs to be removed from your roster, you can manage this through Class Settings.
- Click on the wheel icon to access the Class Settings and the roster for the class.
2. Click on the toggle to the right of the student’s name (under “Active”) to change it from “Yes” to “No”. Once you have inactivated a student, their name will turn gray and they will be removed from your data reports.
3. You can also click on the trash icon to delete a student completely. We advise against this unless you are absolutely positive the student has left your district completely and will not return. The deletion is permanent and it wipes the student’s progress from our system.

Nope! Gooru can be used in a broad range of classroom contexts, including in-person and virtual learning. Teachers have been able to incorporate Gooru into their classrooms by using one computer and rotating students through collections. Additionally, classrooms with sets of 3-5 computers have implemented station models of having students rotate to computers. Finally, classrooms with 1:1 capabilities with laptops or tablets have been able to incorporate Gooru into a blended model of learning.
If Navigator is not loading or working properly, there are several things you can try:
- Refresh the page.
- Clear your browser’s cache and then revisit gooru.org. You can find instructions on how to clear your cache for Mozilla Firefox here, Google Chrome here, Safari here, and Internet Explorer here.
- If you are a learner trying to access your class, try this work-around:
- If you are trying to access Navigator from a school or institution, it is possible that the firewall is blocking our website. Please ask your IT to white-list these domains in the proxy as these domains are what Navigator depends on.
- You may be trying to access Navigator from an outdated browser. In order to provide you with the best and most secure experience, we only support the most recent browsers.

Gooru Navigator supports multiple SSO methods. Currently, we support oAuth2, Google Signin, SAML, WSFed and Classlink to ensure there is seamless login between client systems and Navigator
The Web application can be white labeled with the client’s logo. However, the mobile apps will be accessible only as Gooru Navigator applications in the Play store and App store.
Currently, the instructor has access to the following reports:
- Overview of performance vs progress of the class cohort
- Time-based progress report in terms of competencies gained, avg performance, time spent and day-wise portfolio report for each student in the class
- Proficiency report for each student
- Domain competency report for the class
- Aggregate performance and progress reports by milestone, lesson, collection, assessment and offline activities for the class
- Individual learner’s learning path and progress & performance reports for each milestone, lesson, collection and assessment in the student’s learning path
- Aggregate cohort report and individual participants reports for activities assigned in class
Administrators and other stakeholders have access to the following reports in Mission Control based on access permissions at various levels in the organization hierarchy
- Day-wise competency gains
- Month-wise performance & progress report
- New users
- Month-wise average time spent and active user count
- Class progress report
